They've also revealed a 45-inch UltraGear bendable OLED gaming monitor along with a series of curved OLED displays.

New Video Cards from AMD and NVIDIA

2025 promises to be a significant year for PC gamers. NVIDIA is expected to unveil its long-awaited RTX 5000 series of video cards at CES, while AMD's CEO Lisa Su has confirmed the showcase of next-generation RDNA 4 GPUs early in the year. AMD especially needs this upgrade, as their previous Radeon 7000 series lagged in comparison to NVIDIA's offerings, particularly in ray tracing capabilities and AI features.

AMD's RDNA 4 promises enhancements in gaming performance, particularly in ray tracing and AI functionalities. NVIDIA's RTX 5090 is rumored to be potentially 70% faster than its predecessor RTX 4090, enticing many gamers to consider an upgrade, particularly from older models.

AI PCs Round Two

Expect AI to continue as a central theme at CES, building upon the momentum from 2024. Companies like Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm are integrating even more powerful AI capabilities into their chips. Microsoft has pushed forward AI PCs through its Copilot+ initiative, highlighting AI features and premium specs like a minimum of 16GB of RAM.

This year may highlight the transition as Windows 10 support ceases, encouraging manufacturers like Dell and HP to promote new AI PCs pre-installed with the latest operating system.

Innovations in Earbuds and Hearing Health

Innovations in the audio space, particularly regarding hearing health, have been inspired by Apple's updates to the AirPods Pro 2. Companies like Samsung and Google may follow suit by introducing hearing health features in their products. Sennheiser, a consistent standout at CES, may also bring hearing-focused features to its flagship Momentum line of earbuds.

Electrification in Transportation

With electric vehicles becoming increasingly common, CES isn't just about cars; flying taxis have gained ground in recent years. Companies such as Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation are expected to launch their electric vertical take-off and landing services soon.

Satellite Phone Innovations

The introduction of features like Emergency SOS via Satellite on the iPhone has sparked a surge in satellite communication developments. From Qualcomm's Snapdragon Satellite project to Google’s satellite calling in the Pixel 9, expect to see more devices integrating such capabilities this year.

Improved Soundbars

While soundbar technology may not evolve dramatically yearly, features designed to enhance dialogue clarity are a prime opportunity for improvement. Companies like LG and Samsung, known for their soundbar innovations, are anticipated to introduce better audio enhancement features, particularly for speech.
