Market Updates: Stocks to Watch Heading into Friday

As U.S. stock futures show a positive trend this Friday morning, several stocks are expected to attract the attention of investors today:

  • GeneDx Holdings Corp. (WGS) has appointed Bryan Dechairo as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Following this announcement, GeneDx shares saw a decline of 2.7%, bringing them to a price of $77.46 in after-hours trading.
  • Lifecore Biomedical, Inc. (LFCR) reported better-than-expected performance in its second quarter. The company's quarterly loss was 25 cents per share, which was an improvement compared to market expectations of a loss of 29 cents per share. Lifecore Biomedical also achieved quarterly sales of $32.60 million, surpassing the consensus estimate of $29.75 million, according to data from Benzinga Pro. In response, Lifecore Biomedical shares experienced an increase of 5.3%, closing at $7.01 in after-hours trading.
  • SPS Commerce, Inc. (SPSC) has announced its acquisition of Carbon6 Technologies, Inc. However, this news did not boost SPS Commerce shares, which slightly decreased by 0.6%, closing at $182.81 yesterday.

  • Resources Connection, Inc. (RGP) also reported positive results for its second quarter. The company achieved earnings of 18 cents per share, with sales totaling $145.60 million. In reaction to this news, Resources Connection shares climbed 3.2%, reaching a price of $9.00 in after-hours trading.
  • UDR, Inc. (UDR) promoted Mike Lacy to the position of Chief Operating Officer and announced plans to initiate an executive search for a new Chief Financial Officer. After the announcement, UDR shares dropped by 2%, closing at $42.53.
