This partnership comes amidst reports that the Biden administration is considering additional semiconductor sanctions. These potential sanctions could impact both allies and non-allies of the U.S. as the administration prepares to transition to the Trump administration on January 20.
According to a report from Bloomberg, Washington may establish three tiers of restrictions regarding semiconductor exports.
The Dutch company ASML Holding is poised to be a significant beneficiary of this collaboration, given its advancements in lithography and scalable EUV (Extreme Ultraviolet) technology. This technology has been crucial for fabricating high-performance chips, which are integral to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co's production of Nvidia’s AI processors.
ASML has projected robust annual sales ranging between $46.51 billion and $63.43 billion (44 billion euros – 60 billion euros) by 2030, with an ambitious gross margin target of 56%-60%. The company expects that global sales could exceed $1 trillion by 2030, driven by the increased integration of AI across various industries.
Price Action: On Wednesday, NVDA stock closed down by 0.02%, finishing at $140.11.
