Lavras Gold Reports Significant Gold Intercepts at Fazenda do Posto Discovery, LDS Project
Lavras Gold LGCFF has announced noteworthy drilling results from its Fazenda do Posto Discovery, situated within the LDS Project in Southern Brazil. The LDS Project, which is under the exploration and development phases by Lavras Gold, has been the subject of attention following the discovery hole 23FP002. The recent drilling campaign has notably cut across this discovery hole, showcasing significant lateral continuity of gold mineralization.
Striking Gold Intercepts from Hole 23FP006
The highlight of the recent drilling outcomes has been the results from hole 23FP006, a scissor hole intended to establish the lateral spread of the gold mineralization found in the prior discovery hole. A lengthy intercept of 204 metres grading 1.0 g/t gold starting at a modest depth of 31 metres has been reported. Impressively, within this extensive intercept, a section comprising 65 metres was found to have a higher grade of 1.9 g/t gold, and it included a concentrated pocket of 10 metres grading 3.0 g/t gold.
Confirmation of the Mineralization Continuity
Hole 23FP006 succeeds in substantiating the lateral continuity of mineralization, previously indicated by hole 23FP002, for approximately 180 metres in a northeast direction. This confirmation of continuous gold presence strengthens the potential for developing an economically viable gold resource at the LDS Project site. By intersecting the mineralization at various points, the exploratory drilling not only confirms the presence of gold but also suggests the predictability and consistency of the gold-bearing zone. The current findings are instrumental in aiding the construction of a comprehensive geological model that will be pivotal for future extraction strategies.
